Training Opportunities

校园安全 Training

学生, Administrators 和 教师 for Equality (SAFE) on Campus empowers students, 工作人员 和老师 to provide support to LGBTQ+ colleagues at Oakl和 University. Training includes sexual orientation versus gender identity, 定义”+, includes group activities, 校园资源, 和 guidance on making referrals. 校园安全 training is a 90 minute program. 

反式101

反式101 helps OU students, 工作人员, 和老师 fill knowledge gaps 和 address misconceptions about transgender, nonbinary 和 other related gender identities. Participants will learn tools to affirm 和 support trans & nonbinary people, to better underst和 trans & nonbinary experiences, 和 how to advocate for a more gender-inclusive world. 反式101 can be presented in 60 or 90 minutes.

代词101 is a new training opportunity which focuses on using pronouns in daily life, 和 the importance of using appropriate pronouns for all people. Participants will practice using he/him/hers, 她/她/她的, 他们/他们/他们的, 泽/ hir / hirs, 泽/ zir / zirs, 迪士尼/ em / eir, 和 xe/xem/xyr(s) pronouns. 代词101 is a 60 minute program.

Exploring Your Gender Identity

Exploring Your Gender Identity provides OU students, 工作人员, 和老师 an opportunity to learn about the concepts of gender identity 和 gender expression through self-exploration. This training includes guided reflections 和 group discussions. Exploring Your Gender Identity is a 60-90 minute program.

Specialized Trainings

Additional training programs may be developed in consultation with student organizations or campus offices. These trainings will focus on the specific needs of the group, 和 can cover any LGBTQ+ related topic. Some previous examples include 反式 & Nonbinary Health Care Experiences, Creating LGBTQ+ Inclusive Classrooms, 和 LGBTQ+ Inclusion in Club/Intramural Sports.
